Minecraft videos surpassed one trillion views on YouTube, making it the most viewed topic on the platform—ever. Our team was asked to come up with an idea to celebrate this record-breaking milestone.
Rather than making a typical :30 ad, we decided to create a piece of content that the Minecraft community would actually enjoy. Tapping into one of their most beloved YouTube trends, we created a music video for a special Minecraft-themed cover song, packing every frame with Easter eggs for the community to discover and enjoy.

Immediately after our film was released, fans were creating and sharing their own videos calling out every reference they could find.
YouTube creators also joined in with their own reaction and parody videos, creating even more Minecraft content for the community to enjoy.
We also added our cover song to the YouTube Shorts library so everyone could use it in their social videos.
And partnered with influencers to kick off the #MinecraftShorts celebration.
All of this helped it become the
2nd most-watched video globally
on its release day.*
